  Dr. James Wulach is a practicing psychologist and attorney in Edison, NJ. He is a Professor of Psychology at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice, City University of New York, Coordinator of the Postgraduate Certificate Program in Forensic Psychology, Coordinator of the MA-JD dual-degree program with CUNY School of Law (which he designed), and faculty member of the Clinical Psychology Doctoral Program at John Jay College.  Dr. Wulach is a Former President of NJPA, he received Psychologist of the Year, Distinguished Teacher Award and Lifetime Achievement Award from NJPA.

  In a more litigious society, this program will provide Psychologists with updated State and National rules and regulations to facilitate solid practice strategies. Cases will be used to demonstrate and operationalize the information shared, while protecting patient confidentiality.

  Learning Objectives – This program will help you to:

• 1.     Summarize New Jersey and National Laws for Psychologists, including Ethics, Board Regulations and Law Suits.
• 2.     List and utilize Risk Management Strategies in clinical practice.
• 3.     Explain and apply legal and regulatory practices regarding Progress Notes, Subpoenas, Confidentiality and Billing.
• 4.     Summarize current Continuing Education and Telehealth regulations.
