She has completed her doctorate in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in Health Psychology from Yeshiva University’s Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York. She is Advanced Certified in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy which is a body-centered trauma-focused therapeutic model grounded in neuroscience and attachment theory. She has developed a private practice working with Individuals, Couples, Families, and Groups. Dr. Veronica’s experience includes over 30 years with a balance of clinical work, teaching, and research working in hospital, clinic, and private practice settings with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing a variety of physical and mental health issues such as trauma, cancer, family, relational, and educational difficulties. Her overall goals are to be dedicated to the field of Psychology in each of these areas focusing on how we as human beings develop, function, and interact - and to apply this knowledge toward the development of coping, recovery, and prevention methods contributing to and enhancing the overall health and well-being of individuals and society. Specific areas of interest are Trauma, Health and Wellness, and Spirituality.
